Thinking of you again

This is a quick post to once again say I am thinking of the people of New Zealand after a major earthquake. Just last year I did the same thing. Thankfully, that time the casualties were very low because of the timing. This time the city was not so lucky. The quake struck with the city at its busiest.

I have family-in-law in New Zealand. They, all the wonderful people I met there in 2008, and everyone in Christchurch & the surrounding areas, are in my thoughts and prayers today.

The Nomad

NB (23/02/2011) I heard yesterday evening from Mrs Nomad, who is currently away at her mum’s with the wee one for half-term, that her cousin and his family are all safe and have left the Christchurch area for now. All those affected, including those who have lost loved ones, those still waiting for news, hoping for the best and fearing the worst, those working in the rescue and welfare efforts, those offering their homes as places of escape elsewhere in Aotearoa New Zealand, those who suffered physical and/or mental injury, and those whose lives were taken, remain in my thoughts and prayers.

About MendipNomad

I'm a nomad both physically and denominationally, but I'll always call the Mendips home. Currently a Methodist Presbyter (Minister) in Cornwall. I love sport, film, tv, socialising, politics (both US and British), and, yes, being part of the church.
